A Surprising God
This week we continue our interview series with people from our community sharing their faith and prayer journey.
This week Perry Campbell shares how God has placed him in a place where he can use his Gifts to share his faith with young people and use his personal interests to witness to others.
Come and be challenged, and then look at how God has shaped you and how you can witness to others using who you are.

A big thank you to the two volunteers who stepped forward to represent themselves as Synod delegates in the life of Good Shepherd and the wider Church.
An opportunity exists for willing persons local to the church to become respondents to any security alarm events needing investigation at the church. Work may be at random hours and in most cases have proven minor. However, these incidents do require a physical check of the facilities to ensure security is maintained. All expressions of interest please contact Stephen, Belinda or the office on 8263 5087 or mark security on your connect card.
Please fill in a connect card as you walk in the church as it is the only way we can connect with you!

Family Support Coordinator News, From Georgie
Would you like to volunteer at our school’s Welcome Party coming up on Friday 24th February? The school is looking for volunteers to help out in areas like selling raffle tickets, ice creams, fairy floss or popcorn, or even replacing bin or toilet products. The evening begins at 5:30, concluding at 9pm. They are particularly interested in filling time slots between 7 and 8:30pm. Session times go for 45 minutes. Please see Georgie ASAP or email here if you would like to serve in this way.
One of the highlights for this week was the Stage 2-4 Parent Partnership Night (PPN) on Tuesday evening. The church board was invited to join the initial gathering before their monthly meeting. The night featured a ‘Welcome to Country’ and digeridoo performance by Robert Taylor. People mingled, enjoyed drinks and nibbles and then gathered in classrooms to meet the teacher in person and gain a sense of their child’s class life.
Pastor Rolly visited us and shared a Chapel message on ‘Come as you are-weary’. He had a great illustration of being yoked to Jesus, using a bike attachment for children, that helped us understand how Jesus supports us, especially when we are weary. Please have a look at this week’s devotion! For more of what we’ve been up to, check our GSPV School Newsletter here: https://bit.ly/3XFcEoZ
I am super excited for KAPS 2023. We have a variety of different activities planned to include interactive worship, water games and more. Please take note that we are opening KAPS to years 2-7 (not just 4-7 like 2022). We will be posting more information for our first event on March 26th. If you would like more information or want more details, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing you all soon. Rachel Pfeiffer 0475582289
Growing Faith at Home
Dear Church Family,
Are you a good listener? What is involved in listening carefully to others? Just a couple questions from this week’s GFH resource for you to share with your family and friends. The resource talks about a special moment in Jesus’ life where God declares, ‘This is my own dear Son, and I am pleased with him. Listen to what he says.’ God loves to connect and share life with us. How do you listen to and hear from God in your own life? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Don’t forget the Growing Faith Moments for families with children beginning school, returning to school, beginning secondary school or beginning Year 12 are still available. These ideas help to nurture faith and strengthen your relationships within your family. Talking with children about their concerns and aspirations and blessing your children with prayer all play their part. Copies are available on the pin up board and the stands in the café. Electronic copies are available with this newsletter and will be accessible on our website for the next couple of weeks. Why not have a look?
Our Little Lambs Playgroup has been on hiatus throughout 2022. We have certainly been blessed in previous years with wonderful volunteers who have served in this area. We are currently exploring the possibility for this program to run again. We are looking for a team of people to serve families with little ones in this way. Sharing time together, chatting over a coffee as little one’s play is its own reward. Creating an environment where relationships can be formed and nurtured is a wonderful area of ministry! If this is something you feel led to be a part of, I would love to hear from you. There are plenty of resources ready to go thanks to the creativity, generosity and love of previous Little Lambs team leaders. Please contact me via email here or chat with me sometime about this valuable opportunity.
What are you up to at 10 to 9 (8:50am) on a Wednesday morning? We would love for you to join us for Chapel. Next week we welcome Eve from Endeavour as she continues our Chapel theme of ‘Come as you are’. You are welcome to stay behind afterward for some coffee and conversation. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
We give thanks for all those who have contributed to our online devotions this year. Now we are looking for more! If you have one or more of your own that you would like to share, please send them through to the church office via firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have a church sound desk key, can you please contact the office to confirm the engraving number so we can update our records if required.
Unfortunately, the coffee machine won’t be in action until Thursday 23rd February as we are unable to get it serviced before. You are most welcome to come and enjoy the free percolated and instant coffee along with tea.
Multi-purpose comfy red chairs available for sale that can perfectly fit into your indoors or outdoors and easily stackable too! For a donation come along and purchase them and the history stays on!
Name Badge Request
The cost for a Name Badge is $12. If you would like to order one then, contact the church office on 0882635087 or send an email to: email@example.com
