Journey to Bethlehem- Mary and Joseph- The faithful ones…

In worship this week we had Eve and Emma join us from Endeavour College. We continued on our Journey to Bethlehem, with our focus on “Mary and Joseph…the faithful ones”.
Have you ever tried to do the impossible? Eve challenged a few of us to empty boxes of tissues as fast as we could. No problem… The second challenge was to repack the tissues into the same boxes they came from, perfectly folded… in the same time we took to empty the boxes! Hmmm. The first part was easy, the second… not so much!
Emma and Eve shared about the bible being filled with impossible stories and events, including Mary and Joseph being called to be parents to the son of God. The bible reminds us that all things are possible for God, and that God will always help us to do what He calls us to do. The bible calls us to love others…not just our family and friends, but even our enemies. Impossible right? Matthew 19:26 states that Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” Ultimately, we can be faithful to God, by loving others as He has called us to knowing that he gives us all that is needed for the task!
