Oh Water Wonderful World – Zechariah 14:6-11
Reading: Zechariah 14:6-11
On that day, living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it toward the eastern sea and the other half to the western sea, in summer and winter alike. ~Zechariah 14:8
There are few things better in this world than jumping into a body of water when the summer sun is at its hottest. The hot sand on your feet, the baking heat on your back, the glare blinding your eyes and then, with great thankfulness, you submerge below the veil of water and find comfort, muffled silence and the refreshing cool.
I think this is what heaven will be like – kind of. After the joy and heat of life, we’ll enter the living water of heaven. Maybe we’ll even be able to breathe under the water! What kind of water do you envision in heaven? What will it be like?
