Passing On What Is Most Important
The most significant gift each of us receives is not the presents but God’s presence. Jesus is Immanuel, which means “God with us”. He comes to show us the fullness of Father God’s heart toward us. Being present with others is also the most profound way we can share Jesus’ presence with others. In the message, you’ll see how driving lessons, hairdressing, and succession planning in farming all contribute to you giving the best Christmas gift ever.

Call Committee Update
The call committee has recently met after being voted in at the half yearly AGM two weeks ago.
The committee asks that the congregation to submit all pastor names for consideration, by 5pm Sunday 10th December.
Names can be submitted via the church office email email@example.com
When putting forward a name for consideration, please evaluate how that pastor would fit our key ministry points of:
- Teaching and preaching of the Word.
- Ability to develop and work with teams and equip the lay people for ministry.
- A passion for young people- youth and discipleship.
- A leader with a servant heart.
The committee is next meeting on Thursday the 14th of December.
Please continue to pray for the call committee as they work through the call process.
Your servant in Christ,

Growing Faith at Home
How did you go last week with your Advent Calendar? There are still copies available in the café area if you would like. Here is another simple activity to decorate a window at home in preparation for Christmas. I will also have some hard copies of a Christmas Family Faith Trail booklet which will be available next Monday. Just ask for a copy! I have also included a ‘Growing Faith Moment’ resource about graduating from Primary School with ideas to use for families of young people who are about to leave school and step into the new world of secondary school. Why not have a look?
God bless you all!
Do you like camping and sharing time with other people who like to have fun? Here’s an idea! SPIN is a four-day, three-night, statewide camp in January for young people in years 4-6 (in 2023) to experience an inclusive and encouraging community and grow in relationship with Jesus and others. This year’s theme is ‘Wanted’. Significant sponsorship is offered to first time campers by the LLL. (You just pay $50.) For those who have attended this camp before and are part of our Good Shepherd community, we are offering a subsidy. Just ask Nicole, Rachel, Georgie or the ladies in the church office. The camp is held at Camp Kedron, Barmera. For more information and/or to register head to SPIN.
