The Good Shepherd

These days we are very conscious of our mental health and also body conscious, but do you ever give much thought to your “soul”?
On this “Good Shepherd” Sunday we reflect on verse 3 of the 23rd Psalm: “He restores my soul.”
Pray that our Good Shepherd might do that for you and for those around you in worship this morning.
Bishop David
Bible Readings: Psalm 23, 1 Peter 2:19-25, John 10:1-10 (NLT)

Growing Faith at Home
Another one of my favourite texts is from Isaiah 40: 11 ‘He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.’ (NLT) The message for Sunday is about ‘The Good Shepherd.’ This week’s GFH resource is called ‘Jesus is our Good Shepherd’. Here are some conversation starters to share with those you love… ‘What does it mean to be trustworthy?’ Which people do you trust most? Why?
Take comfort throughout the coming week resting in the knowledge that we do have a reliable and trustworthy Good Shepherd, who is always looking out for us and who provides everything we need!
School Snippets
We look forward to welcoming families back to school this coming Monday morning. We will begin with Opening Chapel for Term Two and you are most welcome to join us! When: Monday 1st May at 8:50am. (Please note, this will replace our usual Wednesday morning Chapel. Wednesday Chapel gatherings recommence the following week Wednesday 10th May.)
