Where Do You Stand?

Where Do You Stand?

The Christian’s foundation for life is found in Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation and eternal life. One of the key passages for guidance on the foundation for life is found in the book of Matthew, where Jesus tells the parable about a wise man who built his house on a rock, and a foolish man who built his house on sand. The wise man’s house withstood the storm, while the foolish man’s house fell down.

A solid foundation for life is only found in Jesus Christ. This faith in Jesus provides a sense of purpose and direction, as well as the assurance of forgiveness and eternal life. We also believe that faith in Christ is the guiding force in all aspects of life, from personal relationships to work and community involvement.

This foundation provides a sense of purpose, direction, and security that cannot be found in any other source, and we build on this foundation by practicing regular worship, prayer, Bible study, participation in our church community and service to others as we live out our faith in our daily lives, sharing the love of Jesus with those around us.

Pr. Paul Fielke

Bible Readings: Matthew 7: 24-27 (NLT)

We are celebrating Easter at KAPS. We will be having an interactive worship where the participants, that’s you guys, will be acting out certain parts of the Easter story in little groups you’ve practiced in. It will be an awesome afternoon with some other Easter activities available. Just a reminder, we are opening up our youth event for year 2-7 with parents/caregivers/grandparents needing to be there too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact myself (Rachel 0475582289) or Georgie. I look forward to seeing you all there.

Did you know that the school has a Facebook page? It is a great way to ‘see’ some of the things we celebrate across the year. We have shared a recent post of the school’s Welcome Party on the church’s Facebook page. For more of what we’ve been up to have a look at this week’s GSPV School Newsletter via this link: https://bit.ly/3FeHa2K

Growing Faith at Home

Dear Church Family,

Did you know that the Growing Faith at Home resource offers weekly Mealtime prayer (some people call this ‘grace’) and blessing suggestions to try out at home? Have a look sometime.

For this week’s Lenten activity, you might like to get creative and create a hessian bookmark! (See attachment provided.)

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Little Lambs Playgroup

Our Little Lambs Playgroup has been on hiatus throughout 2022. We have certainly been blessed in previous years with wonderful volunteers who have served in this area.  We are currently exploring the possibility for this program to run again. We are looking for a team of people to serve families with little ones in this way. Sharing time together, chatting over a coffee as little one’s play is its own reward. Creating an environment where relationships can be formed and nurtured is a wonderful area of ministry!  If this is something you feel led to be a part of, I would love to hear from you. There are plenty of resources ready to go thanks to the creativity, generosity, and love of previous Little Lambs team leaders. Please contact me via email here or chat with me sometime about this valuable opportunity.

Devotions

We give thanks for all those who have contributed to our online devotions this year. Now we are looking for more! If you have one or more of your own that you would like to share, please send them through to the church office via churchenquiries@paravista.org.au
